How to braid 4C hair without straightening first

This is a quick tutorial on how to braid 4C hair without straightening first or applying excessive heat.

This is how I do it for my clients, because a number of them are natural.

Sometimes, I ask for some blow drying; depending on the condition.
But we do not need to blow dry to get a smooth braid.

I do not charge my clients an inconvenience fee because I’m able to maneuver any texture of hair.

I start by parting the hair.

Next thing I do is I use a detangling brush.
This is by IZEY HAIR. That’s actually my brand.

I go to the tip of the hair and I brush gently. Notice the curl patterns changed a little; It is temporary.

I use baby oil, but I will not be using that today.
That tutorial is a separate video.

When you get to the fuzzy ends, this is where you invert the braids.

So, this is how you can braid 4C hair without excessive heat or straightening first.

As you can see, there’s minimal spikes, so I do not give my clients an unnecessary trim.

Thanks for watching, and I’ll be back soon.
