Braids For Alopecia – Braiding Style for Alopecia: Individual Box Braids
There are multiple types and causes of Alopecia (Hair Loss):

My client requested Individual Box Braids. As seen in the photos below, my client suffers from some form of Alopecia. She attempted treatment with a dermatologist a few years ago.
- Step (1)
I cornrowed a circle around the bald spot. I added a little bit of extensions to the cornrows for volume and extra protection.
- Step (2)
I sewed a weave net to the cornrows. I used the stronger net with slightly bigger holes for reasons you’d see in the next step.
- Step (3)
I used a crochet needle (latch hook) to attach braiding hair to the net.
- Step (4)
I braided the hair on the net (Individual Braids).
Finished product . . . .
I used pre-stretched Xpressions Braiding Hair for this style.
